General assistance provides intake processing. Emergency housing provides one-time emergency assistance. Foster/childcare program provides foster and child care payment. Stop Violence program provides counseling, court advocacy, restraining order assistance, women’s talking circle, transportation, and public information referrals. Coordination of services with internal and external agencies and case management.

Assessment Program
Development of a plan to assist families in removing barriers that are preventing them from finding employment or full-time employment. Work search is a requirement in this program. The goal is to find a job, get a better job, and work towards a career that will make the family self- sufficient and not in need of public assistance.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
Temporary financial and medical assistance for single and two-parent families who are cooperating with their Employability Plan through the JOBS Program.

JOBS
Families must be eligible for TANF to participate in JOBS. Some activities are: Adult Basic Education, English as a Second Language, Job search, alcohol and drug treatment, parenting, work experience, on-the-job training, services for job retention.

Child Care
Assistance for child care needed by employed low-income families.

SNAP
Food supplement program for low-income families.

Oregon Health Plan
Medical assistance for children and families who meet the poverty income limits.

Retention Services
For families in unsubsidized employment and whose income is under 185% of federal poverty guidelines.

PERSONS SERVED:
One parent and two-parent families, with dependent children (under 18 of age) in which one parent is disabled, unemployed, working part-time or full- time, however, below program income and resource levels for temporary assistance. Income and resources need to be below program standards. Families with dependent children as well as single or childless couples, in need of supplementing their food needs through the use of Food Stamps, or medical needs through the Oregon Health Plan.

Both programs have either income, resource, or both, that applicants need to meet for eligibility. Families who are employed and need assistance with child care needs and job retention services for wage and career enhancement.

SERVICIO PARA:
Familias de uno o dos padres con niños (menores de 18 años) en el que uno de los padres este discapacitado, sin empleo, trabajando tiempo completo o parte de tiempo, pero los ingresos necesitan estar abajo del nivel del guia del programa, y calificar para recursosde ayuda temporal. Familias con niños, como también personas solteras, o parejas sin niños que necesitan suplemento de alimentos a través de cupones para alimentos, o necesidad medica a través del Plan de Salud de Oregon.
